Bicycle Baggage
EL AL invites you to fly overseas with your bicycle at no extra charge! Now, when you fly overseas, you don’t have to leave your bicycle at home. Passengers wishing to take their bikes overseas with them are entitled to a special benefit:
20 extra kilos at no additional cost!
(above the baggage allowance according to ticket conditions)
- On flights to North America, the bicycles will be considered a suitcase.
- The additional 20 kilo benefit applies only to passengers flying with bicycles.
- Passengers must inform travel agents when making the flight reservation.
- A bicycle must have only one seat and pedals – no motorized bikes.
- The bicycle must be incased
- The bicycle must be disassembled: handlebar, one wheel, pedals
- The benefit is not available to EL AL Basic passengers

Ski
White Winter with EL AL
Special Benefit for Skiers Flying EL AL – Bring Your Ski Equipment for Free! A passenger flying with ski equipment is entitled to the following benefit:
- A ski unit including: A pair of skis, a pair of ski poles, a pair of boots or one snowboard and one pair of boots, weighing up to 15 kilos, at no extra charge
- If the ski equipment weighs over 15 kilos, there will be a charge for overweight baggage
- This benefit is not available to EL AL Basic passengers

Water ski equipment
EL AL invites you to enhance your vacation experience in Sunny Israel by bringing your own water ski equipment for free!
- Benefit of free water ski equipment up to 25 kg with no extra charge.
- Water ski equipment includes: a pair of water skies, an extra single ski and a surfing suit.
- Length of bag – up to 2 meters.
- Any deviation from accepted size or weight will be charged as overweight.

Surfing Equipment
EL AL invites you to fly to a surfing vacation and bring your surfboard with you, at a special rate!
- For passengers flying to Europe and the Far East, the fee is 1.5% of the price of a full fare flight ticket in Economy Class (Y class) per kilo per direction, up to 3 kilos only:
- For surfboards up to 2.77 meters in length, the rate of payment charged will be that of 5 kilos of overweight baggage, according to flight destination.
- For surfboards longer than 2.77 meters, the rate of payment charged will be that of 8 kilos of overweight baggage, according to flight destination.
- Special price on flights to North America:
- Fly to New York with a surfboard up to 2.77 meters in length. Price for transport is $65; to Los Angeles, $70.
- Fly to New York with a surfboard over 2.77 meters in length. Price for transport is $130; to Los Angeles, $140.
- The equipment must be incased.
- This benefit does not apply to EL AL Basic passengers.

Golf Equipment
EL AL invites you to fly to your vacation and bring your golfing equipment with you, at a special price.
- On flights to Europe and the Far East, the charge is 1.5% of the Economy Class full fare (Y class) per kilo per direction, up to 6 kilo only.
- The charge for transporting a golf case to New York is $65; to Los Angeles, $70.
- Please inform your travel agent when making your reservation.
- This benefit does not apply to EL AL Basic passengers.
