ESTA Authorization for the U.S


(Electronic System for Travel Authorization)

At the request of the US Immigration Authorities, passengers flying to the US and holding passports from one of the European Union (EU) or other countries listed below are required to issue ESTA authorizations.

This authorization can be issued through the official site of US Immigration, at: http://esta.cbp.dhs.gov/esta
The authorization is usually issued immediately but in some cases may take up to 72 hours.
The authorization is valid for two years for each passport and costs $14 (payment by credit card).

Passengers holding passports from any of the following countries are required to show this authorization:

Andorra, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brunei, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Great Britain, Greece, Holland, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Korea, Latvia, Lichtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Monaco, New Zealand, Norway, Portugal, San Marino, Singapore, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland.

During flight check-in at the airport, a confirmation form that includes the ESTA authorization number must be presented.
Unfortunately, if the authorized ESTA form is not presented, it will not be possible to board the plane.
EL AL passengers who do not have this authorization form at check-in can have it issued for a fee at the airport.
The service will be provided (subject to limitations) at a cost of $15 over and above the cost of issuing the authorization on the site.

Arrival-Departure record (I-94):

As of May 15th 2013, Israeli citizens are exempt from completing the I-94 form, upon arriving in the USA.
