  3. I completed the flight ticket purchase on the EL AL website and did not order travel insurance. Can I still purchase Harel Departure travel insurance? 

    Yes. On the email reservation confirmation that was sent to you after completion of the flight ticket purchase process on the EL AL website, you will find a link to the Harel website through which you can purchase a Harel Departure overseas travel insurance policy.

    The Harel Departure insurance policy is the exclusive responsibility of Harel.

    As part of the cooperative agreement between EL AL and Harel Insurance, the insurance company enables EL AL customers to purchase an exclusive travel insurance policy when purchasing a flight ticket on the website. Harel Insurance has sole responsibility for the insurance policy. EL AL does not sell insurance. Therefore, you may contact the Harel Service Center at Tel. 1-700-50-55-55.

  6. I did not purchase a flight ticket on the EL AL website. Can I purchase insurance through the EL AL Service Center?

    No. Harel Departure travel insurance is intended solely for customers purchasing flight tickets on the EL AL website. According to law, the insurance policy is sold by Harel Insurance and not by EL AL.

    No. Harel Departure insurance is intended solely for passengers departing from Israel who have purchased flight tickets on the EL AL website.

    The insurance policy is sold by Harel Insurance and not by EL AL. Therefore there is no point accumulation for purchasing insurance.

    Harel Insurance has sole responsibility for the insurance policy. EL AL does not deal in insurance. Therefore, Harel provides a 24-hour emergency center for customers who are overseas at Tel. 972-3-7547030.
