Airport Arrival Time for Flight
Please arrive at the check-in counter at Eilat Airport / Ben-Gurion Airport Terminal 1 at least one and a half hours before the flight. Passengers arriving late will not be able to check in for the flight after the counter has been closed.
Airport Arrive Time for Overseas Flights from Eilat with Connections on EL AL International Flights
EL AL flights from Eilat land at Ben-Gurion Airport’s Terminal 1 for domestic flights. Passengers departing Eilat for overseas (only on EL AL flights) will receive boarding cards for the aircraft to their final destination and their baggage will be tagged and transferred directly to the flight to that destination. After landing at Ben-Gurion Airport Terminal 1, passengers will be met by an EL AL representative holding a transit sign who will accompany them to a designated Passport Control counter at Terminal 3. From there they can continue directly to the Duty Free area and the boarding gates for the continuation flights to their destinations.
Airport Arrival Time for EL AL's International Flights to Eilat
EL AL's international flights touch down at Ben-Gurion Airport’s Terminal 3. Transfer to Terminal 1 using the Airport Authority’s free shuttle service. Arrival time for the international flights is two and a half hours before departure.
As part of our efforts to improve service for EL AL passengers landing in Tel Aviv and continuing to Eilat on morning or evening flights LY401 and LY405 only (conditional on not having any item to declare in Customs), the passengers may leave their baggage on the conveyor belt and EL AL will transfer it directly to the Eilat flight. Passengers on these flights may go to Terminal 1 without their baggage, shortening the security procedure. Personal Baggage Allowance (for Storage in the Aircraft Hold) for Flights to/from Eilat*
Only on domestic flights offered by EL AL do passengers enjoy the same baggage quota as on EL AL flights to Europe – one piece of baggage weighing up to 23 kilos.
Passengers flying with small sports equipment (such as golf, ski and water ski equipment), measuring up to 140cm and weighing up to 15 kilos will be charged a fee of $35 per direction.
Passengers flying with medium-sized equipment (such as diving and surfboarding equipment), measuring 141-200cm and weighing 16 – 32 kilos will be charged a fee of $35 per direction.
Passengers flying with large-sized equipment ( such as kayaks, canoes, or windsurfers, measuring 201 – 277cm and weighing up to 50 kilos will be charged a fee of $105 per direction.
Passengers flying with bicycles will be charged a fee of $35 Per direction.

If you do not have baggage for storage in the hold of the plane, go straight to the kiosk for printing boarding passes near the EL AL check-in counters. If you have baggage to store, go to the check-in counters.

An unaccompanied minor is a child aged 5 – 12. The cost of the service is $15 per flight segment.
