New Rules for carrying liquids in hand luggage on flights from Russia
According to the rules published by the aviation authorities in Russia, it is forbidden to carry liquids, liqueurs, alcohol, gel, creams and the like in hand luggage when boarding flights.

  • On international flights departing from all airports in Russia, it is permissible to take a bottle with a fluid volume of up to 100 ml. Any bottle that is larger should be stored in the luggage in the belly of the plane.

  • Transit passengers arriving from other countries and waiting for continuation flights from Russia are allowed to bring purchases with them from duty free shops at the airport. Be sure to save the purchase receipt and present it to security officials in order to be allowed this option.
  • Passengers are allowed to take on board medications, baby food and special dietetic products.
  • The above does not apply to internal flights in Russia, on which passengers are allowed to take up to 1 liter in liquids. Alcohol should be stored in luggage sent to the belly of the plane.
