    There is a one-time enrollment fee of $15, which must be paid using a valid credit card only. Children above the age of two years are eligible for membership. Individuals, who are eligible for travel industry discount rates, are ineligible for membership.

  4. WHAT CAN I AVAIL OF WITH MY POINTS?
    You can redeem your points for Bonus tickets and Upgrade tickets.

  5. FOR HOW LONG ARE MY POINTS VALID?
    Points are accumulated for a period of 3 years, and must be redeemed for Bonus or Upgrade vouchers within this period. Unutilized Points expire after 3 years.

  6. HOW MANY POINTS ARE REQUIRED FOR A BONUS TICKET?

  7.  HOW MANY POINTS ARE REQUIRED FOR AN UPGRADE TICKET?

    • Your ticket can be upgraded with a voucher, through your travel agent or at the EL AL Reservation offices.
    • An Upgrade voucher will not be accepted at the airport before your flight.

  8. HOW CAN I GET THE VOUCHERS ISSUED

    • You can issue Bonus or Upgrade vouchers online through your account.
      Click on Frequent Flyer Home Page to access your account in order to issue your voucher. Remember to get your reservation confirmed before you issue your voucher.

     

  9. ARE THERE ANY RESTRICTIONS FOR BONUS AND UPGRADE VOUCHERS?
    • In the Matmid club, you can redeem your points for travel anytime during the year. There are no blackout dates for issuing vouchers. However, the confirmation of your booking depends on the availability of seats.
    • For a Bonus ticket in Economy class, your flight booking must be confirmed in Class J, and for a Bonus ticket in Business class, your flight booking must be confirmed in Class W. Upgrade tickets are permitted on Economy Class M Class tickets originating in India for the Beijing – Tel Aviv route to Business in Class W.
    • Bonus and Upgrade vouchers can be issued for Club members or for any other passenger of their choosing. However, the name of the passenger who is utilizing the voucher must be mentioned on the voucher.
    • Points from different accounts can not be combined.
    • There is a charge of $30 to amend the name of the person authorized to use the voucher, once it has been issued. There is a charge of $30 to cancel a voucher.

  10. WHAT IS THE VALIDITY OF THE VOUCHERS?
    Both Bonus and Upgrade vouchers are valid for one year from the date of their issue.

  11. HOW CAN I AVAIL OF A LAST MINUTE UPGRADE?
    If you are a Gold or Platinum member you are eligible for an Upgrade (without an upgrade voucher) 48 hours before a flight. Children however are not eligible for this upgrade.
