  1. The FamiLY Flyers Club is intended for members of the EL AL Matmid Frequent Flyer Club, and is conditional upon the member defined as “Head of Family”, as detailed below, being registered in the Matmid Club with an address in England. The Club retains the right to request, from time to time, formal verification to substantiate the fact that the Head of Family’s address is in England.

  2. The program is intended for current members of the Club or new members who meet the criteria of these regulations.

  3. Members of the EL AL Matmid Frequent Flyer Club who meet the conditions of these regulations can join the FamiLY Flyers Club program, by filling out a registration form as detailed below.

  4. The FamiLY Flyers Club program enables 1 to 8 members of a family (including the Head of Family) to accumulate points in a joint account.

  5. To join the FamiLY Flyers Club:

    a. One family member aged 18 and over, who is a member of the Matmid Frequent Flyer Club, should be chosen to serve as “Head of Family.” (The Head of Family must be a Club member before being chosen).

    b. On the Personal Details page in the e-club menu, the Head of Family must list its family members to be included in the joint account of the FamiLY Flyers Club (up to 7 members in addition to the Head of Family). The Head of Family can include as partners in the joint account: a spouse, parent, grandparent, child and grandchild.

    c. Fill out a registration form on the EL AL website at www.elal.co.uk, on the "FamiLY Flyers Club" in the e-club menu.

    d. In order to transfer the points of family members (other than those of the Head of Family) to the joint account (henceforth the “Head of Family account”), members must confirm the transfer on the EL AL website at www.elal.co.uk on the FamiLY Flyers Club page in the e-club menu. To include a family member under the age of 18 will be joined automaticaliy. It is hereby clarified that in the event that points are accumulated in the Head of Family account unlawfully or without approval, EL AL reserves the right to transfer the points back to the personal account from which they were moved, immediately and without detracting from EL AL's right to take any action it is entitled to in such event, in accordance with clause 4.2 of the EL AL Matmid Frequent Flyer Club regulations.

  6. From the moment family members approve their inclusion in the FamiLY Flyers Club program, all points that were accumulated up to that time in the members’ accounts for EL AL flights and flights of Matmid Club partner airlines to and from London only will be transferred to the Head of Family account, as will all points earned from that moment and henceforth for flights to and from London. To remove all doubt, points that have accumulated or will be accumulated for flights of family members other than the Head of Family, on other routes, and "Partner Points" (as defined in the Matmid Frequent Flyer Club regulations), will not be accumulated in the Head of Family account, but rather will continue to accumulate in the personal accounts of the family members. However, the Head of Family can accumulate points for flights flown on all routes as well as "Partner Points" in the Head of Family account.

  7. Points transferred from family members to the Head of Family account will be transferred as "Extra Points" (as defined in the Matmid Frequent Flyer Club regulations) with the same validity as for the original flight.

  8. Only the Head of Family can issue Bonus Ticket Vouchers and Upgrade Vouchers from the Head of Family account. The remaining members of the family can view their personal accounts only on the website and also see the total number of points available to the family in the joint account.

  9. The address appearing in the Head of Family account is the binding address for sending updates, mailings, etc. However, EL AL is entitled, at its absolute discretion, to send mailings about Club news and deals to other addresses given to EL AL for the purpose of sending such mailings.

  10. Any family member can leave the FamiLY Flyers Club program whenever he/she wishes.

  11. If a family member has left the FamiLY Flyers Club, he/she can enter the program again only after 6 months. Until his/her return to the program the member can continue accumulating points in his/her personal account.

  12. A family member who has left the FamiLY Flyers Club program cannot have the points that were accumulated in the Head of Family account returned to his/her personal account.

  13. In the event of the death of the Head of Family, or if he/she becomes legally incapacitated, or if the Head of Family leaves the FamiLY Flyers Club program, the remaining family members must choose a new Head of Family, over 18 years old. All the points in the joint account (except for the points that were earned personally by the previous Head of Family) will be transferred to the new Head of Family account, with no need for any additional special consent.

  14. It is hereby clarified that the Matmid Frequent Flyer Club status of every member will be determined by the number of points earned for EL AL flights by such member and appearing in the member’s personal account (and not by the number of points in the Head of Family’s account).

  15. Bonus Ticket Vouchers and Upgrade Vouchers from the Head of Family account will be issued only in the name of one family member in the FamiLY Flyers Club program. Bonus Ticket Vouchers and Upgrade Vouchers cannot be transferred to someone who is not a member in the joint FamiLY Flyers Club account held by the Head of Family.

  16. The general regulations of the Matmid Frequent Flyer Club, as updated from time to time, shall mutatis mutandis apply to the FamiLY Flyers Club program. In the event of a conflict or an incompatibility between the general regulations of the Matmid Frequent Flyer Club and the regulations that appear here, these regulations shall prevail.
