Conditions for EL AL Basic:
- Ordering and ticketing: Class E terms.
- Immediate ticketing.
- Under the consumer protection law, no refund will be made in case a change/cancellation is made on the ticket or the complemental services.
- The ticket cannot be upgraded to a premium Class and/or Preferred Seat service, for seating in the front of the aircraft or in the premium Classes, cannot be ordered.
- No double deals or discounts.
- Valid for dates and flights appearing in the EL AL Basic system.
- For Matmid Club members: no points or associated benefits are accumulated and no benefits are provided, with the exception of entrance to EL AL lounges (KD GL PL TOP). .
- When purchasing Basic tickets, Gold and Platinum members and higher will not receive other benefits that are usually granted. Shalom Service, additional baggage allowance and preferred seating on the plane will not be given with EL AL Basic.
- The following services can be ordered and paid in advance: check-in at the check-in counters, additional luggage allowance and other services - using the EL AL website.
- Check-in must be performed for flights ordered using the EL AL website. The service is provided free of charge. Performing the check-in at the check-in counter requires payment. You can pay in advance for performing the check-in at the counters using the EL AL website. At stations where check-in cannot be performed, no payment will be charged.
- Baggage allowance for the flight is for hand luggage up to 8 kilos only. flights to Europe An additional suitcase up to 20 kilos entails a payment of $20 per passenger per flight segment, the Far East An additional suitcase up to 20 kilos entails a payment of $30 per passenger per flight segment. You may pay in advance for the luggage on the EL AL website by clicking on the Reserve Supplementary Services button.
All overweight and/or additional suitcases entail additional payment according to EL AL regulations.
- For EL AL Basic passengers wishing to fly with sports equipment (bicycles, ski equipment, etc.), the sports equipment will be considered excess baggage.
- Seating on the flight is in EL AL Basic Class, in the last rows of the aircraft.
Please note: There may be changes in seating due to change of aircraft.
- Service on flights to/from the Far East includes beverages and food. Service on flights to/from Europe includes beverages only and does not include meals – sandwiches shall be sold on the flight. On flights to/from Europe, even if the EL AL website allows meal ordering, the service shall not be provided.
- Earphones for the entertainment systems are not included in the service of this flight, except for payment during the flight.
- Children and infant rates for EL AL Basic - Children (ages 2-11) rates are 90% of the base price for an adult, not including tax and fuel charges. Infant (up to 2 years old) rates are 15% of the base price for an adult, not including tax and fuel charges. Fuel charges are not added to Infant tickets.
- Infant’s ticket in EL AL Basic – seating of parents and baby is within the allocated seats for the EL AL Basic Class. A crib is not available in this Class. A baby stroller can be stored at no cost; additional baggage allowance according to Basic Class regulations. Meal is not included.
- This ticket does not allow Unaccompanied Minors service.
- Pets may not be flown to or from Israel in EL AL Basic, except for passengers with special needs.
- Tickets are valid for EL AL flights only, even when flights are canceled or changes are made by EL AL.
- The number of seats is limited.
- The ticket prices listed above include taxes and surcharges correct to the date of this publication and are subject to change by the relevant authorities. Likewise, prices may change because of exchange rate fluctuations that affect port taxes in various countries.
