Membership in the Platinum Tier of EL AL's Frequent Flyer Club will be awarded if you have accumulated 5000 points or more from EL AL flights only (basic points) during a one-year period. Membership will be renewed, one year from the day it was awarded, to members who have accumulated 4500 points or more on EL AL flights only (basic points) during that year.

• An additional 50% in points above the base number of points accumulated for EL AL flights (the additional points are valid for bonus tickets and upgrades and are not counted for priority lists and towards renewing your Platinum Tier status or eligibility for reduced-price last-minute upgrades).
• Guaranteed seating in Economy Class up to 24 hours before a flight for tickets in Y Class (except during Holiday periods; on code-share flights; on special group flights; and under unusual circumstances that are not under EL AL's control).
• A 50% discount on the price of reduced-price last-minute upgrades from Business Class to First Class.
• Exemption from payment for any voucher taken out less than 10 days before the day of ticketing (express processing).
• Exempt from service charges for changing or canceling bonus and upgrade vouchers.
• Exempt from service charges for changing or canceling bonus tickets (in accordance with ticket terms). The exemption will be granted if the bonus ticket is issued for the Platinum member or someone in the member's immediate family. 
• Utilization of bonus tickets in non-bonus classes, for double the number of points (Q in Economy Class; D in Business Class; A in First Class)
  For these vouchers you can supplement missing points in money up to 25% of the points value of the vouchers
• A Platinum Member who wishes to issue a bonus voucher from his/her account for him/herself or for a top level family member (a spouse or child) is exempt from Express Processing fees so long as ticketing is done within timeframe of 3 business days.
• As a preferred customer, you now enjoy an exclusive benefit that enables you to utilize your bonus vouchers in a Class that is not subject to availability of allocated bonus seats, for one and a half times the number of points.
  This benefit allows you to utilize your bonus ticket in Economy Class even when the quota of allocated bonus seats has been filled. The benefit is conditional on availability in K class. (For passengers outside of Israel, the bonus tickets will be ticketed in H)Up to 25% of the required number of points for utilizing these vouchers can be supplemented with money; it is also possible to transfer these vouchers to family members or anyone else.
