More About El Al's Agreements with Other Airlines


  • Vouchers must be issued through the Club's service center.
  • To make a reservation or change an existing reservation (before ticketing), contact EL AL Telephone Service Center at tel. 03-9771111 or *2250 and state that you are calling about a bonus ticket with one of the airlines with which El Al has a Club agreement. (Bonus tickets may be purchased for flights with American Airlines, South African Airlines and Qantas) .
  • Bonus tickets with other airlines allow only one stopover in each direction (unless stated otherwise by the partner airline).
  • Points cannot be used for upgrading tickets with partner airlines.
  • Vouchers for bonus tickets are valid for one year from the date of issue.
  • Partner airlines in the Club program limit the number of seats for bonus tickets (Capacity Control). Therefore, we recommend that you make your reservations well in advance.
  • The agreements with participating airlines do not allow: entry to the Lounge for Platinum /Gold /King David Club members; commercial /business upgrades or any other upgrade with points; taking out an open bonus ticket (without dates); taking out a one-way ticket; or issuing a child's bonus ticket.
  • In order to ensure automatic point crediting to your account, make sure to include your membership number on your flight reservation with AA, SAA or Qantas through the services of a travel agent or directly through El Al's reservations department. Your membership number can also be added to your reservation at the airport when you depart Israel and at the counters of partner airlines at airports around the world.
  • You can have your account updated with flights that were not updated in your account up to nine months from the date of the flight, on the condition that you were a Club member at the time of the flight.
  • You can have your account updated with flights of partner airlines up to two months retroactive to the date you became a member.
  • You can earn points on flights with partner airlines only in one account. In other words, you must choose whether to add the points to your El Al Frequent Flyer club account or to your account with the partner airline. You may not accumulate points in two accounts.
  • You may not transfer miles from an account with a partner airline to your El Al account.
  • Points accumulated with participating airlines will not be counted towards eligibility for Silver /Gold /Platinum membership or for eligibility for reduced last-minute upgrades on El Al flights.
  • validity of points accumulated with partner airlines is unlimited.
  • Requests for manual accreditation of points will be met only if you have sent in your flight ticket and boarding pass for the flight by fax or postal mail to the service center. Automatic updating of your account in the El Al Club takes up to 10 workdays following the flight; manual updating can take up to three months.
  • No cancellation or change in bonus tickets with partner airlines will be allowed.
  • Procedures regarding loss, cancellation or change in bonus vouchers with partner airlines and/or issuing express procedure bonus vouchers are the same as those regarding El Al bonus ticket vouchers and therefore involve a service charge (the same charge taken for the same services for El Al bonus ticket vouchers).
  • It is possible to purchase points for a bonus ticket with El Al's partner airlines according to the same rule that applies for purchasing points for El Al bonus ticket vouchers.
  • Partner airlines have embargo periods during which it is not possible to fly with bonus tickets.
