Improved Process for Issuing a Bonus ticket
or Upgrade


As part of our efforts to improve and streamline service to Matmid members,
as of January 3, 2014, the process of issuing bonus and upgrade tickets will no longer include issuing a voucher.

All you will have to do is make a reservation and your account will be charged for the required number of points at ticketing.

Improved Process for Issuing a Bonus ticket or Upgrade

Conditions for Bonus Vouchers Issue until December 31, 2013
:

  1. Vouchers for bonus or upgrade tickets that were not ticketed by December 31, 2013 will be canceled on January 1, 2014 and the points will be returned to your account.

  2. The validity of points for vouchers returned to your account will be as follows:
    • If the validity of the points is later than or the same as the validity of the voucher, the points will be returned with their original validity date.
    • If the validity of the points is earlier than the validity of the voucher, the validity of these points will be extended to the voucher validity date.


In addition, with implementation of the new and improved process described above, it will no longer be possible to use an upgrade voucher at the airport, even for those on the waiting list.

New process will be implemented on January 3, 2014.


Please Note!
Due to the preparations required for implementing the new system of issuing bonus flight tickets and vouchers:
From December 31, 2013 through January 3, 2014, it will not be possible to issue bonus tickets and upgrades through the Telephone Service Center or through travel agents.
On these dates, you can issue your bonus tickets on the EL AL website (Identify yourself as a member before you start to process your booking)
