EL AL is launching a new service that offers Economy Class passengers the option of reserving a preferred seat.

Advance registration for the option of a preferred seat is done through the website, at the click of a button, for a fee.

Passengers who are members of the EL AL Matmid Frequent Flyer Club Top Platinum (including their accompanying passengers), Platinum or Gold tiers, are entitled to these seats at no cost.

Passengers accompanying Platinum & Gold  members will have priority over any other passengers and as of September 16, 2008, will receive a preferred seat in return for money or points.

Silver and Matmid members will have priority in purchasing a preferred seat over non Frequent Flyer passengers, but will be charged.

As of September 16, 2008 Matmid Silver and Matmid (TL ) members will also be entitled to pay for the preferred seat with points or money.
