EL AL has initiated a project called Torah Scroll for Israel Unity – scribing a Torah scroll for the airline that will be flown on special flights of national and historic significance and will also serve worshipers at the synagogue of the airline’s Head Office.
Jewish community leaders worldwide will participate in this project, including the President of the State of Israel who will write a letter at the President’s Residence in Jerusalem. To date, letters have been written by important rabbis in Israel, the heads of the Presidents of Jewish Organizations in the USA, well known rabbinical leaders and heads of yeshivas.
