Enjoy a captivating combination of cycling through the forests of Mount Carmel, lunching at an authentic Druze restaurant in Dalyat El Carmel, visiting the breathtaking Baha’i Gardens, and riding through the twisted streets of Haifa’s Hadar neighborhood, ending the day relaxing on the sandy shore at Haifa Beach. Tour costs $90 per cyclist (price includes guide, bike, helmet, and authentic Druze lunch.
Itinerary Haifa University (meeting point). Bike the dirt path towards the Horn of the Carmel (approx. 2-3hrs off road). Visit to the monastery marking the place where the biblical contest between Elijah and the prophets of Ba’al was held. Enjoy an authentic Druze lunch at the open air market at Dalyat El Carmel. Cycle back towards the City of Haifa. Visit the amazing Baha’i Gardens and the Bab Alla Mausoleum. Ride through the narrow winding streets of Hadar, the heart of old Haifa. Visit the unique German Colony neighborhood in Wadi (”Valley”) Nis Nas. Explore Bat Galim, a secluded beach neighborhood originally erected in the 1930’s. Pass by Haifa’s marine research center. End the tour at the sandy beaches of Haifa (finish line).

Why Haifa? Located on the northern slopes of the Carmel mountain range, framed by Mount Carmel’s luxuriant forests, on the one side, and the vast Mediterranean Sea, on the other, Haifa is truly a unique city with much to offer. Beyond its impressive landscape, Haifa also takes pride in being a city where Muslims, Jews and Christians peacefully coexist side by side, and where the general headquarters of the Baha’i faith, the immaculate Baha’i Gardens, is located.

Druze Lunch at Dalyat El Carmel (please inform the staff of any food allergies or dietary considerations that should be taken into account when booking the tour). An emergency medical technician (EMT), who will accompany the group. * The EcoBike team will be equipped with the means to address any bicycle mechanical problem that may arise during the tour. Booking and Conditions Tour is subject to a minimum of 10 bikers. Special tour dates can be arranged for groups of 5 or more bikers, upon request. Registration must be completed at least two weeks in advance
Refund policy in case of cancellation Full refund if tour is cancelled 45 days prior to the first day of the scheduled tour; 50% refund if tour is cancelled 21-45 days prior to the first day of the scheduled tour; 25% refund if tour is cancelled less than 21 days prior to the first day of the scheduled tour.
