New York, NY - March 23, 2011 - EL AL Israel Airlines welcomed Gene Simmons, an Israeli-American rock singer, songwriter, musician, actor and businessman. Simmons arrived in Israel for the first time in 52 years. He was born under the name Chaim Witz in Tirat Carmel, Haifa, Israel where he lived until the age of eight years old.
Simmons is in Israel with family as well as 15 colleagues to produce a few segments of his hit cable TV show "Gene Simmons Family Jewels." He first gained notoriety in the 70's as co-founder and bassist for the American hard rock band KISS.
