EWIS Course

This course is designed for all personal that come into contact with aircraft EWIS and provides an acceptable means of compliance for developing an enhanced electrical wiring interconnection system.
The course will improve the awareness and skill of the aviation personal in EWIS production, modification, maintenance, inspection, alteration and repair.

Objectives:

The course content will be adjusted to each group of students (specified below).
The following topics refer to the full course conducted for groups 1-3.

General EWIS
Wiring practices documentation
Chapter 20
Inspection
House keeping
Wiring
Connective device
Connective device repair

Target group

1: Qualified staff performing EWIS maintenance

2: Qualified staff performing maintenance inspection on EWIS

3: Qualified staff performing electrical/avionic engineering on in-service aircraft

4: Qualified staff performing general maintenance/inspections not involving wiring
maintenance (LRU change is not considered wire maintenance)

5: Qualified staff performing other engineering or planning work on in-service aircraft

6: Other service staff with duties related to electrical wiring interconnection systems

7: Flight Deck Crew

8: Cabin Crew

Duration:

Target Group 1-3: 8 Hrs.

Target Group 4-6: 4 Hrs.

Target Group 7-8: 2 Hrs.
