EL AL CEO Elyezer Shkedy, Israel Olympic Committee Chairperson Zvi Varshabiak and Israel Olympic Committee Director Ephraim Zinger signed a cooperative agreement according to which EL AL will serve as the official carrier of the Israeli sports-men and -women to the August 2012 Olympics in London.

EL AL CEO Elyezer Shkedy: “Since its founding, EL AL's activities have been interwoven with events of national importance. Today, as well, EL AL continues to be the national carrier of Israel and takes pride in being the official carrier of the Israel delegation to the London 2012 Olympics. The Israeli Olympic athletes represent Israel’s aspiration to excellence on an international level. For EL AL, an Israeli company that operates worldwide, the connection is natural and self evident. We will help in every way possible to mobilize the Israel public in support of our athletes, to preserve the tradition and to ensure that the flag of Israel will continue to fly high as part of this important international venture.”
