Due to Continuing Price Hikes in Jet Fuel, EL AL Must Adjust its Fuel Surcharge on Flights to North America, the Far East and South Africa as of March 20, 2012, in Line with Other Airlines
Fares on EL AL's European Routes Remain Unchanged
All tickets issued by March 19, 2012 will be priced according to present rates.
The cost of Matmid Club bonus tickets will not change
Geopolitical influences causing the continued trend of rising jet fuel prices are forcing EL AL to adjust and raise its ticket fares as of March 20. At the same time, EL AL is allowing passengers who purchased and ticketed flight tickets by March 19 to enjoy the present fares.
Updated fares will reflect a price increase of $29 in each direction on flights to North America, the Far East and South Africa, in Economy Class
”Recent geopolitical developments continue to affect the price of jet fuel, raising it to record levels.
This trend forces us to adjust to the new prices and raise ticket fares, as all other airlines have done.”
At the same time, we will continue to make every effort to offer our customers a range of attractive fares. All tickets issued by March 19, 2012 will be priced according to existing fares.”
